Missional Opportunities Postng for the Week of: March, 8th, 2009

- March 21st, 2009 (9am-3pm): Habitat for Humanity.
We will either be assisting in the building of a new home, or helping make repairs of updates of an existing home for people (usually the elderly) who are unable to keep up with their own home's maintenance. Council Road Baptist Church has a team that does this every third Saturday of each month. Email Andy Zook (aczook@yahoo.com) for details.

- Change for Change:
The Bridgebuilder's connection class at Council Road Baptist church is collecting loose change to fund future "wall building" opportunities (either in OKC or another city on the planet).

Wall Project OKC

As in Nehamiah's time, the city walls protected the city. Without walls a city is exposed and vulnerable to the forces that seek to steal, kill and destroy. Walls are both physical and metaphorical. Walls represent those tangible physical and spiritual needs, without which our lives become exposed and vulnerable to attack.

According to God's word, all our needs have been provided for. So, all that needs to be done to "build the wall" is to match God's provision with the needs in our community.

This blog assists in that endeavor by providing a place for those needs to be posted where people who are led by God to "build the wall", in the Oklahoma City metro area, can have guidance and information to get "plugged in".
